Jim, the “senior citizen” of the band, has been in rock and roll for over 35 years and resides in Lafayette, LA. Originally from Tonawanda, NY, near Buffalo, Jim studied classical music as a child playing brass instruments. He moved to playing the tuba in High School and then to upright bass and then quickly to bass guitars and rock music! His experience spans several states and musical venues from hard rock, to gospel and contemporary Christian, and to jazz and R&B. He’s even played in a symphony orchestra! Jim’s first bass guitar was a 1963 Fender Precision and he sure wishes he still had it as it is now considered a classic.

Jim had been jamming in different circles in the Lafayette area when he met Todd Migl through some mutual friends. He came to meet Desire Street through Todd and helped out on a gig and was hooked. He is glad to be able to lay down the “bottom line” with Desire Street. Jim’s band affiliations include Trinity, a Buffalo based power trio; 90 Proof, Coda, and The Hoover Street Band, all classic rock outfits in Louisiana, amongst countless others.

Jim is married to his wife of 23 years, Linda, and has two children, Erin & Seth. He is Director of Operations with Dupre’ Transport, LLC headquartered in Lafayette.
